Side effects can occur when starting a treatment. Below you can read what's normal per treatment and when to get in touch.
ED pills (sildenafil / tadalafil)
Common side effects are mild headache, facial flushing, a stuffy nose or mild dizziness. These complaints are temporary and usually disappear within a few hours. They tend to lessen as your body gets used to the medication.
Get in touch via the chat if you experience chest pain, an irregular heartbeat, sudden vision problems, or an erection lasting longer than 4 hours.
Hair loss treatment (finasteride / dutasteride)
Side effects are rare but can occur in a small group of men, such as reduced libido or sexual side effects. These are usually reversible after stopping.
Shedding: in the first 2–3 months you may temporarily experience more hair loss. This is normal and part of the process: the hair makes way for new, stronger hair growth. Shedding resolves on its own.
Get in touch via the chat if side effects persist or if you're concerned.
Minoxidil
Local irritation, itching or flaking of the scalp are the most common complaints. If this happens, try reducing the application slightly or switch to the oral variant in consultation with the doctor.
Weight loss medication (GLP-1: Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Saxenda, Rybelsus)
Common side effects in the first weeks are nausea, reduced appetite, a feeling of fullness, constipation or diarrhoea. These complaints are usually strongest during the dose titration phase and tend to decrease as your body gets used to the medication.
Get in touch via the chat for persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain (a possible sign of pancreatitis), signs of dehydration, or if complaints haven't improved after a few weeks.
When should you always get in touch?
Severe complaints that don't go away
Side effects that haven't improved after several weeks
